OUR NEW REALITY: HOW WE ARE KEEPING YOU SAFE!

OUR NEW REALITY: HOW WE ARE KEEPING YOU SAFE!

To Our Valued Guests: We hope this finds you and your loved ones in good health. We are so thankful for the outreach in support from all of our guests. A lot has changed over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming some semblance of our previous routines. Please understand that we are trying our best to contact all of our guests who had appointments from March to the present in order. Despite our love of these things, we are temporarily not accepting walk-ins, hugs, food/drinks, or cash. If you are unwell, have recently returned from overseas travel, or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, please reschedule, even if you do not have any symptoms. We are closely monitoring the government and industry advice, and in our commitment to ensuring that our infection control procedures are current and effective, have made some changes in how we operate under their best guidance. When it is time for your next appointment, you will see some new processes that we have put in place to help protect our clients and team members. Here are a few things to keep in mind when you book and when you come in next: Before the appointment: Staff Screening: We are recording our team members’ temperatures daily before working. NO ONE with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be permitted in the salon. Client screening: We will ask those same questions upon arrival for your appointment in addition to recording your temperature. NO ONE with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be permitted in the salon. Self-screening: Anyone with a cough, temperature, or other symptoms consistent with COVID-19 may not enter the salon. Call in sick (staff) or cancel/reschedule (client) if you need to. During your visit: mandatory precautions. Outdoor Waiting: Before your appointment, you will be asked to stay outside until we are ready to seat you. Simply call or text us upon arrival and we will let you know when we are ready to welcome you in. Personal: Both clients and salon employees must wear face masks. No hugs or shaking hands as we continue social distancing as much as possible. Structural: Separated stations, sinks, and any items such as magazines and drink service have been temporarily removed. Procedural: Clients and salon employees must wash their hands with soap and water upon arrival to the salon. Staff must wash again between serving customers and before and after breaks. Touch-less payment. Touch-less infrared thermometer to check the temperature of clients and staff. Laundered, and/or disposable capes. Clients may not bring people with them unless they absolutely rely on another person for mobility or other exceptional reasons. Service Changes: We can no longer blow dry any guest during phase one of opening. It is our goal to provide every guest with a FULL CARU service including our complimentary styling, however, blow drying in the salon right now is very dangerous for you and our team. From what we have learned from medical professionals, if there is no blow drying and everyone is wearing their mask the chance of spreading COVID goes down to 1%. We will now offer complimentary conditioning treatments until we can blow dry again. Cleaning: Salon CARU has been “Fogged and Sterilized” by a professional steaming company prior to reopening and the team has been certified through Barbacide to continue to make sure the Salon is sanatized at all times. Touchless hand dryers and soap dispeners are in place of hand towels in the bathrooms. We use disinfectants that are EPA-registered and labeled as bactericidal, virucidal, and fungicidal on doorknobs, elevator, furniture, bathrooms, and tools. Extra careful cleaning between rotations and disposal of porous/soft surfaces that cannot be disinfected. We apologize for this ongoing inconvenience and hope that together with these precautions, we will overcome this virus. These protocols will continue to be refined and adjusted as needed and we will keep you informed every step of the way. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Most of all, we’d like to thank you for being our guest. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back. We miss you and are excited to see you again soon. Best in Health, Colin Caruso Owner, Salon CARU
